Poem

Define love?
I would take your name in the initial state
because I thought my soul got its mate
The day when your arms gave the solitude
that's when I realized you are my magnitude
the way you embrace my worries and pressure
I got to know you are my precious treasure
Holding hands when I shiver and grieve
you gave me courage to retrieve
whom should I blame, you or fate?
why did you lie saying you would never fade
due to which my tears continuously cascade

what's my mistake?
Being coward and letting you go for happiness
definitely knowing that your absence makes me restless
I lost the color and warmth and became ruthless
all these memories haunt me and make me breathless.
your touch, smile, sight still make me sleepless.

what's agony?
finding no possibility of having you in my life,
not being able to hold you when the world falls apart,
not being the reason, you laugh hard on your rough days,
not being the reason when you smile bright.

what's stupidity?
I would stay still, when your words hurt me
and I would apologize saying it's my mistake
You would call me backstabber and cheater
I would take it as an appreciation meter.
And yet you question my love and loyalty?
weren't my eyes enough to describe the adoration,
damn every time I gave you sense of affirmation,
didn't my rapid heartbeats define my dedication,
why don't you choose me is my question?

What's bed-time story?
without you I don't smile bright and lost my glory.
remembering the sweet bickering and warmth you gave
instilling hollowness of the peace you take
me forgiving you for the mistakes you make
because my soul and heart are at stake?
I dream you hug me tight and make this pain a haste.
