Poem
I lost her, not like a misplaced key, But like a star that slowly fades, Disappearing from the night sky, leaving a void Of profound darkness, an abyss of unfulfilled dreams. In the cracks of time, our loss hid itself, In those seconds that slipped by unnoticed, When my eyes gazed upon other horizons, Believing we had an eternity, But eternity stealthily crept away, Like a thief of shadows, stealing our love. I lost her, not with a deafening noise, But with a gentle whisper, a quiet goodbye, Which I didn't hear until it was too late, When she had become just a ghost of the past, A memory that dissolves at a touch, Like smoke that scatters in the wind. I wonder now, in the silence of the night, Where did that star go, that light that guided my steps? Time flows mercilessly, and I remain here, Engulfed in the melancholy of a lost love, Seeking answers in the gaps between the stars. When I lost her, I lost a part of myself as well, A part that will never return, A part that now lives only in memories, In those ephemeral moments of happiness, In those instances of pure magic. In this stream of thoughts, I feel how sadness intertwines with magic, How longing becomes a spell that keeps me a prisoner of the past, An endless search, a breeze That whispers her name every night. I lost her, but a part of her will always remain here, In my soul, like a fallen star, Like a promise of a sky full of fulfilled wishes. In this universe of melancholy, where time holds no power, And where every memory is a magic that dresses reality In a garment of illusions, I search for her, That lost star, that light That still burns somewhere, far away, In the vastness of my longing.
