We blame a lot of things on God, even more on the devil
easier than accepting our own faults and ways.
Why do we eat when we are not hungry
those orange crunchy cheese snacks that good?
stomach hurts but just one more till the bag
is empty and you carefully pour out the
Cheetos dust into your cupped hand
pouring every morsel into your wide open mouth
licking your fingers with regret
that the snack is gone not that your belly
is swollen as if you swallowed a basketball whole
and you are never leaving the couch while
the remote is just out of reach of your fingertips
so you just lay there, thinking it is the way God made me
That devil tempted me to eat the entire king size family
party time big bag all by myself and only regret you didn't
get it in the super size extra large triple bag portion.
