Poem

I was so close to hell I could hear it through the wall
The music muffled but I could tell
they seemed to be having a ball
But stayed here, thanking God I wasn’t there
Holding everything that is dear as before I just didn’t care 

So as the music blared and so many seemed to trample about
As only my heart cared and as to why tonight I didn’t let him out
I prayed to the Lord above like I sometimes prayed before 
Just wanting to feel His Love  to repair my heart beginning at its core 

And as I still heard that music I thought to put it down in pen
Putting the words down so quick but felt I was writing for all men
The music soon began to dissipate
And things seemed to slow down 
But as I lie there and ponder my fate
In my eyes you could see my frown

But the Lords love never change’s in even the weakest of His Children 
I guess you could say He rearranges
some things every now and then 
You just have to believe, and no matter how dark that road may be 
Don’t ever  let the devil deceive you
For one day, one Glorious Day 
we shall all see
