Poem
I gaze out the window of my soul, Scanning a distant horizon where dreams and reality intertwine, Seeing patches of ethereal clouds, Drifting across the vast expanse of the blue sky. I am bound for a realm called Insanity, To fill my mind with phantoms of peace, To confront the chaos within, Where the policemen of reason cannot drag me to the Garden Pavilion of logic. Yet tranquility eludes me like a will-o'-the-wisp, Insanity enfolds me in its merciless embrace, The dark clouds of suffering suffocate my spirit, Negative energy infiltrates the marrow of my being, A sentinel of despair approaches, whispering forgotten truths, The Sheriff of madness seizes me and forces me to the ground, The cold iron shackles of reality clasp my wrists, My mind becomes a tangled tapestry, frayed and lost, All reasoning melts into a miasma of confusion, Toward the pavilion of despair, I am led, A spectral woman in celestial robes drags me into a chamber of isolation, Where freedom is but an illusion, and confinement an omnipresent shadow, The white straitjacket of destiny binds my soul in its unyielding grip. Soaked in sedation, I see only fleeting clouds above, Whispers from forgotten realms echo in my mind, Feeling phantasmagoric insects crawling beneath my skin, Seeing bovine apparitions in the sapphire sky, Leaping over green, orange, and golden storm clouds, I lose all sense of place, Adrift in an ocean of delirium, Someone, something, watches from beyond the veil, Is God among us? Oh, lend me a hand from the abyss! I fear the plunge into the vortex of madness, I long for the false solace of a vial of tranquilizers, To transcend this plane of sorrow. In the twilight of my consciousness, I float through spectral realms, My mind enshrouded in delicate illusions, Reality fractures into shards of an abandoned dream, Seeking refuge in an infinity of illusions, An endless odyssey to nowhere—a flight without end. The sky transforms into mirrors of despair, Each reflection a flood of panic, My soul drifts among frozen stars, Madness, my eternal companion on this cursed journey, Aboard an aircraft with wings of pandemonium. I dissolve into the azure void, Savoring for a moment the fragile essence of freedom, My thoughts turn into delicate cobwebs, Trapping dense and heavy emotions, My escape becomes a labyrinth of the psyche. Every whisper of the wind brings threatening shadows, Every cloud a new tale of terror, The visions of floating cows become palpable myths, Strange tales of throbbing psyches, Within a kaleidoscopic cosmos of vividly colored illusions. Thus, I remain captive, In a realm of illusions and metaphors, Weaving fantasies before harsh reality, A solitary spirit, navigating in silence, The astral seas of a melancholic and consuming dream. Who will save me from this eternal vortex? A question that echoes through the ether, For I am but a prisoner of my own thoughts, Traversing the sky in search of lost serenity, On an eternal flight to the town called Insanity.
