Poem
In the whispers of 2010, our hearts entwined like tender vines on a trellis, our love defined I found my voice in poetry, a language true to express the depths of my devotion, anew With every dawn, a poem bloomed in my soul a daily testament to the love that made me whole I'd text or write by hand, leaving it on her pillow soft a gentle surprise, a love letter to unfold Her eyes would sparkle, her heart would sing as she read the words that poured from my heart's everything our love grew with each verse, a garden in full bloom a sanctuary of love, where we'd find our sweet perfume In the silence of the night, I'd pour my heart out a river of emotions, a love that would never doubt she'd read, and her love would shine, a beacon in the dark guiding me, inspiring me, to create, to embark With every poem, our bond grew stronger still a tapestry of love, woven with every tender will I wrote to express, to confess, to adore to tell her how much she meant, and more, and more But fate had other plans, and in 2017, she was gone leaving me with shattered dreams, and a heart that was torn I was lost, adrift, in a sea of grief and pain but poetry became my solace, my heart's refrain I wrote to heal, to mend, to find my way again to channel the sorrow, to turn it into a work of art in vain I wrote to keep her memory close, to feel her near to keep our love alive, to banish every fear Now, as I look back, I see the beauty in the pain the love we shared, the poetry that remains it's as if she's guiding me, whispering in my ear "write from the heart, my love, and our love will persevere" In every line, every word, I feel her gentle touch a reminder of the love we shared, a love that will forever clutch my heart, my soul, my everything, she'll always be near inspiring me, guiding me, to turn words into a beautiful work of art, year after year.
