Poem
As I lie restless in bed at night, I reflect on the best times in my life. I pick one particular part, the part when i dated Ashley. I reflect and I feel the shape of her body lying next to mine. The texture of her skin and the raised skin of recent cuts on her arm. The pain, her pain, the one I long to take away. Pinks and gold enter the sky, lighting up the darkened night. Her hair tinted with purple and black, falling into her eyes. Frustrating me, I push her hair behind her ear and slowly draw my hand back. Her eyelids flutter and I freeze I dont want her to awaken because of me. I go back to tracing her veins in her hand and wrist. When I next look at her face blueish green eyes are found watching me. I blush, and turn away, she had caught me. She makes a slow growl and reaches out to turn my face back towards her. "I dont like it when I cant see your face" she says. My heart beats so fast I cant breathe as I hold my breath. I can see her memorizing my face, I watch as her eyes trace the shape of my, lips. She leans forwards and I pull back, I know where that would end up. She whines and I just softly chuckle. I pull her close to me, she rests her head on my chest. It is blissful until that little monster rumbles and I pull us off her bed. "I think its time to eat babe." I give her a hug and she refuses to let me go so I walk us to the kitchen. And I try to untangle us before her mother saw us. She refuses. I sigh in happiness and ask "What do you want from me Ash?" In answer to my question she lightly presses her soft lips to mine. And we kiss, I forget to breath and as she pulls back I mumble "candy kisses" I turn over and pop in another disturbed cd. I've seen my friends pine over men and women they can never have. I didn't want to become like them. Just for tonight I let myself believe she still wanted me. I curl up in a ball and let her love engulf me. My first love. She will forever be my Baby, Ashley.
