Poem
To forgive is to love. Forgiving someone is as hard as it is to love them. At this point, I can testify that it is a narrow path to tread, You look on, while the best opportunities to avenge melt away from your sight. Then, you open your doors to those that have wounded you, And are still potential threats to humanity. You start to learn to sit with them on the same table, As it was in the beginning, In the beginning, before Lucifer invaded on your relationship! Forgiving is not any easy task to fulfill, You enter waters, which grow deeper and dirtier with waves becoming rougher, Moment by moment, minute by minute! You sometimes have to go an extra mile, To cultivate deeper in order to find one reason, Just one reason to renew the friendship that was previously torn apart; You choose to love those that actually, do not deserve it from you;- If we were to speak the truth here! You choose to reward evil with love, bad with good. And when you make peace with them, Even when they did not take any step to apologize, Or when they became too proud to acknowledge their wrong deeds, You put away all that is in the past to the past. You free your mind from any other dark agendas, Praying to God every single day, for his counsel, When anger seems to be overwhelming the scarred heart! You try to move on, You try to forget, but trust me, This is the hardest test for man. The memories may not be washed away forever, But you keep praying to God to erase it all! Sometimes, you are faced with episodes of the anger of the past, And you may even regret allowing the bastards back into your life, For, they will at some point repeat their mistakes or do even worse; And hurt you more than they did before. But, like I said, it is so hard to forgive, Yet it is necessary to forgive! But, To forgive is to love, And with all the love, You can live a free and peaceful man.
