Poem
In the shadow of the system, I withdraw in silence, Watching as the sky effortlessly weaves the white of clouds. To the vast game of the world, I do not bow but smile faintly, Let the masks fall to the scene, I feign into oblivion. No thoughts of rebellion, no step of resistance, Subtle, like the moon's path over seas, I unbind their chains. To their deafening trample, I dance in distance and memory, In my world where you are both king and beggar. I laugh at their walls, which claim to cage me, A scoffing cackle breezes lightly over my lips. What need have I for the esteem of those who know neither kindness nor compassion, When inside me burns a flame, a sun within? And through fields, I take my path, carried by yearning, On trails misted with dew known only to the lament of bagpipes. I am the passing cloud, the shepherd leading his flock at dawn, And the healer searching for balms in stars, in moons, and dance. The harmony of the fields teaches me to listen, To the blood in my veins singing a refrain both old and new. Beauty hides in every leaf, in every fruit, In every smiling moon, in every dew. No longer shall I fear the edge of the abyss of existence, For on the verge of risk flutters the purest sweetness, quite clear. I live as the lightning that wishes to break its chain and fly free, you know, And I embrace the world with wild grace and a nimble cheer. I believe in magic, it is woven into my being, Imagination is the food that warms and sustains my mind. My head among the stars, though at times it seems I've strayed, still me, I learn as citrus learns to live their life by tranquil lights aligned. Thus, I write my poem—not fight, but transform, Turn the heart into a golden chalice, and thoughts into sacred seed. The system surrounds me, but I am the moon, I am also the cloud, And I turn each day into a fairy tale, a song, a poem that in delight, I heed.
