Poem
I have been living on the sides trying so hard to survive but the residue of hope keeps rocking my boat. Daylight breaks out on the stream, and it keeps disrupting my unconscious dreams, and I am pushing and pulling with all that I have got hoping for a miracle to meet me at the next spot, but hope keeps dragging me around and turning my life upside down in this promiscuous town. I have been living on the sides working my heart out, while strangers' parades in the night trampling on the roof searching for food. They pace around, shaking their manly pride from side to side and crawl secretly on the roof. I curled up behind the flimsy door watching them cutting through the window taking honey from the kitchen and my last earned Shilling. I held my breath and swallow my sneeze and wait for the wind to blow. I have been living on the sides watching hope passing by and age keeps drifting along and the tides are breaking, and I said to myself what is the reason for this suffering when nature has given me all that I have asked for, the sun, the moon and the rain and the stars in the galaxy are still the same; they are urging me to start the journey’ they tell me that the provision is in the sea and it will take care of me. I have been living on the side keeping a watchful eye. They stroll down the narrow corridor banging doors and thumping walls trying to create a justified brawl, but nature was on time to force the aggressor through the gate before they broke my slate. I have been living like this for many years working and hoping that it would pass away, but time has its own appointment and life has it assigned enjoyment. I have been living on the sides waiting for the sun to rise; I am running a marathon up the hill, and I want you to join me when the mountain is still. There are plenty of openings on the sides and that is where you will meet your new bride. I wish if I could tell you what to do, close your legs and don’t allow the ball to slip through, take three steps forward and three steps to the side and you will save the day with a miracle under your belt. I am living on the side, and I have just learned how to break the ice. "I am soaking wet."!
