Poem
The seventh kingdom sings that he was a drop of gold Who fell from the sky of golden sunlight to earth so cold Dragons brought that drop to their caves thousands of years old It grew into a gold child who shone for all to behold A white dove baptised him, and brought him back to the blue He received the glory of heaven’s sunlight as he flew The eighth kingdom proclaims that a cloud wrapped round a rock A young man broke out of the rock with white flames that could talk He held a dagger and torch as doves came as a flock The doves from the cloud cared for him as he began to walk He received glory and power as candles were lit Lit by man celebrating that the ancient rock was split The ninth kingdom sings that from the nine muses, one left She flew to a high mountain to think about the bereft She desired her body whom none can take by theft As a lone virgin, she birthed a son whom the angels blessed Every angel sang hymns to nourish him with glory And went to the waters to save men from purgatory The tenth kingdom sings that the son came from the sun god Who loved a white cloud and dropped a pearly tear as a prod The cloud opened and gave a child, and the sun did laud And the child received glory. This is what they all applaud And the kingdom sings that the child fell as pouring rain To the waters of the earth to ease humanity’s pain The eleventh says that he was born with vile power Born from a father who desired his precious flower The plant opened its petals and became a vower It vowed to take its sole offspring to a tomb to cower An angel dressed in white roses came and cared for him And through the angel, he came to a lake filled to the brim The twelfth kingdom sings that he came from the moon and sun He was cared for and nourished in the heights as a loved one He was bathed in power and bright glory as the son He soon rained down into sparkling waters as should be done But in the shimmering truth, he was above those two Who came to save pearls, using the shining boats to get through
