Poem

Here and now I must go
Into my unknown
Where the life I need waits
47 years to the day
This heart is old
These feet are tired
This soul been in this dark
There is that light
That one I fear
The one that is the brightest
I've shied away for so long
Hypnotize by them thoughts 
Betrayel a scenario I've seen to much of
It's hard to come to terms with what is seen
It makes no sense why I bleed
Why my hurt is the vessel of my ways
The captivation so easy to dwell in
When this pain seems enternal 
When the cure has no disease 
When I regret many of my fear decisions 
It's empowering to that unseen truth
That this life the one I live now has no real definition 
I am caught in a loop of a childhood lost
I keep making those same mistakes
It's a crisis of sorts which I have not recognized  till now
I am a pawn to my only failures
Lost and alone in this unknown
But I know I need to see more then I have let myself see
Time will heal all my wounds but the scars of this war for my soul shall remain I will continue to battle forward for all who seem to wear these same shoes 
This is what true growth will reveal in this evolution of change.
