Poem

There is a line in oceans wide,
where fresh and salt waters collide.
No mixing of the fresh and salt,
When they collide, each takes a halt.
 
There is drawn, a separation line,
when men to sin their hearts incline.
Man’s ways and God’s, can never mix.
A river parts them like the Styx. 

The line first formed when Adam sinned,
by casting caution to the wind.
The gulf formed between God and man,
No mortal man could ever span.

God was the first to cross the line,
sin etched within your heart and mine.
He sent His Son to pay sin’s price
and suffer death for our vice.

Cease being an enemy of God,
He is your friend, give Him a nod.
Open your heart and let Him in
ask Him to save your soul from sin.

Let God replace the combat line,
and build within your heart a shrine.
And as you daily worship Him
Your life will be to God a hymn.
