Poem
I pray for your soul not to be damned all because I know the path that you’re on, and I want so much to reach out to you and bring you back to where you belong Not necessarily back to me because you see you are no longer mine, what we once shared ended long ago and since then I have lied to myself that I’m fine I am no one’s judge, or executioner or do I wish to be, I am only a person that sees the good in you the way you see the good in me I have spoken to you, and I know that you are guilt ridden and ashamed, but can’t you see there is only one that can truly take away your pain? He can wash it away as though it was never there, and He can make you clean again and take away all of your despair I pray that you know Him although we never got that deep, but I did convey to you that every night I pray for you and yours before I go to sleep You say that you’re heartless that you were once a monster although you have since changed your ways, just look to Him for answers and I promise he can wash the stains away You can live the life that you dream of, the one where you can smile, that you can feel, but you first must turn to Him and hand over all of your troubles, your grief, and let Him heal I should know sometimes He is the only thing that helps me through, especially when I went through the pain of losing you I know He has His reasons, and I know in the end it was a blessing in disguise, but I’m thankful that we once crossed paths in life and that I know your name and you know mine I know that I can’t be with you, and I know that our past was a sin, but I want you to know He has forgiven me, and I know that He will forgive you too my friend I love you maybe not in the same way as I once did, but I love you as a person that I wish to see in Heaven someday again I wish for you happiness in this life with your family and all the blessings that He can bestow, but please open up your heart to Him and let the frailty of the past go We’re all sinners and in His eyes no sin is worse than the next or the one before, but the beauty in this is knowing He is always there right outside your heart just knocking on the door Let Him take you by the hand, let Him guide you toward the salvation that your soul does seek, I promise that you won’t regret this decision it means everything to me So, I pray that you’re healed from your painful past, the things that I know of and do not, I pray that you have peace in your life, and I pray that it is He who from it was brought I pray that you know that you’re loved and that with Him you are never alone, you no longer have to berate yourself and go at it on your own You can’t change you only He can truly heal you and your minds sickness from within, you truly are a special person in whom I wish to when I leave this world see again So, I hope that in another life you will be there smiling at me, because of the guilt that you carry around letting it drag you down, give it away and let Him find a place for your soul to sleep.
