Poem
She had a supermodel body with immense scars on her pretty face, but long before these scars existed there wasn’t a man that didn’t wish for a taste To buy a drink for the beauty that seduced with just a sway of her hips, and after taking one glance at her all others ceased to exist The power she once possessed it was long ago taken away, she was cursed with the ugliness that now her face displays Sure, she could be photoshopped into looking the way that she once did before, but makeup techniques can only hide so much so she chooses not to even bother anymore Her days of being sought after, of wanting her for her looks are gone, and she can’t understand why no one wishes to look within at the girl who feels so all alone Are all that shallow that they can’t get past the scars? Can’t they see there is a beautiful soul within? One with a pure heart Someone who wants nothing more than to be looked upon the way that she once was, before this curse took over and changed her life to show her looks weren’t love That you can’t rely on your beauty, that eventually looks shall fade, and all that you’re left with are fake people who only wish to destroy your days To bring you down to their level all because they are so dead inside, they are drowning in the shallow water too afraid to ask for a helping hand from the monster they see with their eyes All because she looks different, because she doesn’t shine as bright as she once did, don’t they understand that true beauty comes from within? She still dons the alluring supermodel body, the one that could stop a train in its tracks, but I guess they could say the same for her face now, that the scars have made their impact She only wishes that looks weren’t all that imposters dreamed about, how they tell you that you’re so beautiful only to turn away when all of the beauty washes out She is still the same she that she has always been, only now time has changed her and unfortunately it hasn’t been her friend She once found true love although those scars were there and could be traced, but he didn’t let that affect his love for her he loved her anyways But things didn’t work out as sometimes they just don’t, but he did cry over her because even though she was scarred on the outside her love he still did want He looked past her scars and her supermodel body he looked directly into her sad eyes, and he told her that he loved her beautiful soul that could never be disguised He made her feel as though she wasn’t so ugly after all, that what is perfect to some is a supermodel with a perfect face but to him it was just a girl with insecurities that made him fall.
