November 12 Relationship to God Bible Meditations Based on 2Corinthians 1-2

Key Verse – 2Corinthians 1:3-4 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY GREATEST COMFORTER			

Lord God, You are my greatest Comforter in all my tribulation
Thank You for Your effectual consolation for my affliction
With Your peace upholding my assurance of salvation
Through Your grace abounding midst trial and persecution.

Lord God, You are my greatest Comforter in all my sufferings
Thank You for Your deliverance helping me against murmurings
With Your strength pressing my faith midst trouble-roarings
Through Your compassion I trust by Your nurturings.

Lord God, You are my greatest Comforter in all my conscience-guiltiness
Thank You for Your truth I receive with delightfulness
With Your pardon that acknowledges my confession’s earnestness
Through Your Word I rely on with joyfulness.

Lord God, You are my greatest Comforter in all my choices of yeas and nays
Thank You for Your dominion over my life along Your power-rays
With Your promises establishing my heart in Your ways
Through Your Spirit that seals my soul toward Your praise.

Lord God, You are my greatest Comforter in all my heaviness’ sorrow
Thank You for Your forgiveness I need today and tomorrow
With Your gladness cheering me so I can divinely glow
Through Your sufficiency with contentment I heartily swallow.

Lord God, You are my greatest Comforter in all my plea-beseeching
Thank You for Your Gospel I must be sharing and teaching
With Your presence affirming Your ceaseless watching
Through Your wisdom subduing my pride and ignorance-stretching.

Lord God, You are my greatest Comforter in all my manifested insecurity
Thank You for Your compassion midst Your kingly majesty
With Your generosity triumphing over my scarcity
Through Your savour of goodness marked by Your authority.
