Poem

violence was my medicine.
But now I’ve swapped  violence and the knife 
For writing poems about my life.

Because Im sick of blood  running down pavements.
I Just  want ink to flow  across pages
For Everyday i work for the worst wages,
but I’m happy and content 
With the time I’ve have spent 

Reflecting in silence,

Now I’m Living my life free 

without anymore violence.

All I want now is to be left alone
To enjoy the peace in my life 
That has fondly grown,
Express the love in my heart 
That I’ve never shown.

through the words I write in my  poetry 

For paper is my church
And the pen is my purgatory,
It offers me a safe place and 
a sense of security.
While allowing me the strength to begin my revival.
like the paintings and portraits of Picasso ,
There too, 
is art in my survival.
