Poem
Being a child means you are a Saint; Sin is obviously wrapped up in your skin and bones; But to the parents' blindness,a child is flawless. Mistakes are overlooked in the name of, That's a child, she's just a child! All children are beautiful, That's why they call them angels. Even the ones with heads shaped like Elgon fliers, Or the ones with cheeks like inflated balloons; They all are a reflection of mother nature. Children have all the time in the world, They can play, sing,or dance, You don't need to pity their hearts. They can eat and drink as much as they can have, Temperance is learnt from the parent. They can smear all the dung and mud on their clothes, Mummy will wash, that her children can be smart. They have all the time to grow, So,they sleep longer, An assumption that they grow faster over sleep. Children are always sweet, They are still pampered even as they are bring punished, Promised heaven and earth after caning them. They are carried around and gifted with toys, Everyone loves them, Except their elder siblings, Who envy that their parents'love is divided, To satisfy all of them; More attention bending towards the younger. But above all, They're precious gift from God. They're fruits of his love for us, Made in love and birthed in love; Which makes no child a mistake. They came as a result of parent's decisions, Much as they borrow innocence to call it a mistake. God loves all children, And protects them and makes them happy. And it's every child's right to be loved by their parents. They grow to become their parents, Giving birth to more of their kind. When they grow up, They will replace us,the old ones; For that is the rule of nature, The means of survival for the human race, Designed by the perfect knowledge of God; For the abundant love he's got for you, for me, for them, for us, The descendants of Adam and Eve,our first parents!
