Poem
The Empirical Veneers of Decency and Acceptance It’s funny how perceived intelligence Is not necessarily a measure of true smarts How the genius, the barrister and the eloquent Can miss the point from the very start It’s quite bemusing to observe her lack of self-awareness And confusing to preserve his political correctness While alluding to conserve the after effects of a man who is relentless As you are perusing the unheard elements of what’s considered to be contentious An oak tree bending under the weight of the wind The consideration of the original sin A public aberration as she slurs her words on gin The complex observation of a life about to begin Inspired expressions of unique origination Retired regressions of an ageing physiques external co-ordination A man inspired by the confessions of a man about to end his degradation An electronically wired progression of technological advancement and innovation Harmony, precision, convergence of vibrations Artfully envisions the re emergence of interstellar configurations The fervency among the urgency of a myriad of star constellations Amidst the certainty that can only be a result of intelligent postulations The weathered eyes of an elderly woman living alone A feathered sigh from the mind of the unconventionally unknown The tethered cry of the kind who has intentionally postponed The severed high of who signed that chooses to remain unknown We choose the pathways of glory and aspire for recognition But what about the other story and the original rendition ? Of one who is inclined to worry about the execution of her vision As she feels compelled to say she’s sorry for her constant indecision Anonymity, privacy, seclusion and choice To take proximity to ignomy and amplify your voice And in complexity find the simplicity as you express what you rejoice As the berevity so explicitly lifts up toward a sky lit hoist An anomalous creature on display to public crowds A preposterous feature of the haughty and the proud And then the monsterous teacher who bellows inconsiderately loud While the consciousness of true preachers expand upon the clouds I won’t eject your postulations because they’re your subjective truths And I don’t expect that conversations will always revert back to your youth But I’ll inspect the indignations of the unrefined and the uncouth And reject the conversations that deal in deception and mistruths The End Copywright Elizabeth Moroz 2023
