Poem
In Twilight's embrace, I met a love divine, A tale of passion and a heart entwined To the one who set my soul ablaze, I pen this ode of fading echoes and lost days. With eyes as stars, you stole my breath away. Whispering promises that would soon decay. In your embrace, I felt invincible and free. But skimpy did I grasp that it was all a fantasy. Such a shooting star, you dazzled through my sky. But just as quickly, you vanished, leaving me to cry. Our love, once vibrant, is now a distant memory. Fading echoes of a love that used to be I held onto the fragments of our love. But they slipped through my fingers as a gentle dove. The laughter, the warmth, the tender embrace All faded away, leaving an empty space. I search in the gloominess for a speck of your light. But all I find are remnants of a love that took flight. The echoes of your voice whisper in the wind. Reminding me of a love that could never mend. I loved you with a passion that knew no bounds. I'm alone with anguish, and no one is to be found. The tears I shed are such raindrops in the night. As I wander through the memories, lost in my plight. I release you from the chains of my heart. In letting expire, I find a brand-fresh start. Though the echoes of our love may fade away, I'll cherish the moments we had, come what may. Fading echoes can't erase the love we shared. Though it may be lost, it still lingers in the air. In the depths of my soul, your presence remains. A bittersweet reminder of love's joys and pains 1st place contest winner
