Poem
In a realm where love's illusion played its game, A young and handsome man sought a heart to claim. He danced on promises of love's sweet embrace. Whispering vows of never-ending grace. With gifts and dresses, he adorned his desire. Her eyes sparkled with a flicker of fire. He swore to stay faithful, never to stray. But little did he agnize the price he'd pay. Behind her beauty, a tempest did hide, A tongue that lambasted with venomous slide. Day and night, she nagged and demanded, Turning their love into something so tainted. He became a servant to her every whim, He scrubbed floors and walls, his light growing dim. She spent his arduous-earned coin with no remorse. Leaving him with nothing but regret and coarse. With each passing day, his heart grew heavy. Longing for the love his whimsey was steady. But trapped in a web of deception and lies, He yearned for freedom; his spirit cries. He dreamed of escape, of breaking his chains, But the walls around him only caused him pain. He wished he could turn back, undo the spell, But the illusion he once believed had fell. Regret filled his soul, a bitter taste in his mouth. As he realized the truth of what love is about. It wasn't the fancy gifts or sweet caresses. But the genuine love that he had missed The lesson he learned, though a painful one. Was that love's illusion can come undone? Beauty may captivate, but true love is kind. And the bonds of deceit will leave you blind. So beware, all young men who seek hearts to win, Look beyond the surface, the charm, and grin. For love is not found in material things, But in the depth of a person's being. Do not be fooled by beauty's deceit. True love's foundation is strong and sweet. Find someone who cherishes your soul. Who will abide by you and drive you as a whole? And remember, as you pass on your way, Love is an option we earn each day. So select wisely and let your heart guide, In true love, there's no room for pride. Learn from this tale, with its regretful end, And may your love story never bend. Remember, love is not just a passing trend. It's a commitment, a journey, and a lifelong blend. So cherish each moment, hold love close and tight, And may your love story shine forever bright.
