Poem

Before there was time, there was God.
Before there was light, there was God.
Before there was anything, there was God.
God Himself is The Self-existent One.

The only Self-existent Light is God Himself.
In Him is no darkness, nor ever has there been
any darkness connected or associated with God.

There was a time when the world was void of physical light,
and total physical darkness covered the face of the deep.
It was in this state of 'nothingness' that God, being the
only light, broke the silence and said,
"LET THERE BE LIGHT".

From the time that God, The Self-existent One,
spoke light into existence, the universe has never
again been without light. The Self-existent Light
could be termed an attribute of The Self-existent
One who caused the sun, moon, and stars to light up
our physical world. That same Eternal God, through
Christ lights up our spiritual being when we believe
and put our faith and trust in him.
