Poem
Be Encouraged You may not need encouragement today, But maybe one day you will; You may not feel alone in the crowd But may one day, even still, You may not ever feel forgotten about, just not how you feel... Never can imagine the turn, your life might take; hope you never will. You may not ever have to hope; and pray, that your body heal, Hope to have a day free of pain, I hope that pain you’ll never feel, You may never hope, to ever be, a bother or a pill, Or to worry that you seem too extreme, someone’s show, don’t want to steal. You may never hope to feel a love, that you’ve almost forgotten is real; and never a time because of pain, be so careful of a meal. May never feel to encourage others, perhaps with hope it may reveal, that it is you who needs encouragement; in time of suffering or a time you’re ill. Just remember those ministering hope, may have never thought they’d feel, the need for hope, love and comfort, or to know they matter still. A smiling face, may be with great effort, For a moment your heart to steal, Not to attract the wrong attention, a fight for a life, may be the deal. Never judge or draw conclusions, for what someone suffering may feel, Just try to tolerate them for the time, that they reach out to you at will. You may be too busy, to stop and consider, It is really Jesus you help or heal, will be in glory a great reward, when eternity begins and time is sealed. “When you’ve done it to the least of my brethren,” Jesus said, so you might feel; and know Him in the afflictions of others, that He is still with them still. What does it cost to give a word, bringing warmth instead of chill, You may not for the moment feel cold today, may love forever be your warmth and shield. So be encouraged, I say to you today, though today, you may appeal; that one day you may need encouragement, when discouragement may seem more real. Copyright © Lovie Divine | Year Posted 2023
