Poem
The mirror breaks, a shattering sound, Revealing secrets once were bound, By earthly ties and mundane fears, Unveiling secrets, transcends years. Near death a trial, and hypnotic states, Expose a continuum life creates, A hint that lies beyond the veil, Of human breath, and ragged rale. And who are we, a true pretense, Beyond our reach substantive essence, Is it our soul, traversed this time, Or something else, perhaps a mind? The truth disguised, and yet implied, Secrets, once known, cannot be denied, Passing over religion, and dogma and creed, An inward dance, whose partner should heed. To break the mirror, itself to see, As a window into the reality, That life goes on, though body's flown, The fractured glass now one less tomb. In calmative states, so many have seen, A glimpse of what lies in-between, Behind our ego and our wealth, Stands taller still, our truest self. The one who Knows, and Shows us well, Far and wide our own-made hell, Born anew each day, we choose, To hide away and always lose. Our piece of mind, no place for solace, Not as steeped in days this aweless, As you stay so fast asleep, The lies of mirrors, round you creep. But those who break, the mirror free, Find true path to liberty, The shattering sound turned symphony, After, life an epiphany. For in the shards, we find the truth, The beauty, our own mild reproof, And though it may be hard to bear, It frees us from our worldly snare. Break the mirror, if you so dare, See other worlds, take time, compare, The brokenness, you see designed, A new perspective, unconfined. Sponsored by: Unseeking Seeker
