Poem

I've got to get ahold of these feeling's that I feel,
but it's hard to do because they are very real.
 Mixed emotions twirling deep down in my heart,
the thought's that cloud my mind, keeps me from doing my part.
 It seems as though the people I attract you see,
only come around when they need, and only use's me.
 My heart is so broken that I can't even cry,
Is this all that I am to them, I ask myself why.
 I have a heart made of pure gold, which they can not see,
I give them my all, to the point there is nothing left of me.
 My heart aches truly for them, because they are blind I know,
so onward with them, as their helping hand I go.
 Life is a two way road that we all must share,
I carry the cross's of things that's not mine to bare.
 I'm not a quitter, so I press on, day after day, time after time I go,
the real me, to them I do my best to openly show.
 Used and abused my heart cries from deep within,
over and over used and abused again.
 Let this be known to those who do other's this very same way,
some where down the road, these tolls you will have to pay.
 So I must stay focused on the task that's at hand,
for my house is not built upon the sand.
 Whomsoever reads this and feel's the way that I do,
press on, be humble and God will see you through.
 Though times seem harsh and people seem so cruel,
remember, Gods Holy Spirit is our greatest tool.
Keep on keeping on keeping God alive in your heart I say,
Know this, for you each day earnestly I get on my knee's and pray.
 You can do it, Trust and believe in yourself, no matter what it may see,
And know that we're not blind, the truth is what we are to be!
