January 7 Relationship to God Bible Meditations Based on Genesis 19-21 Key Verse – Genesis 19:10 But the men put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door. LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY HOLINESS-UPHOLDER Lord God, You are my holiness-Upholder Who meets me with Your care Thank You for welcoming me inside Your fellowship’s loving welfare… I rise up to go toward Your ways along Your guiding stare As You compass me with blessings You constantly prepare. Lord God, You are my holiness-Upholder Who brings me out from wickedness Thank You for smiting my spiritual blindness by Your vision’s brightness… I come near You with humility’s submissiveness As You consume my iniquities and filthiness. Lord God, You are my holiness-Upholder Who sets me toward Your mercy Thank You for preserving me with Your compassion’s fervency… I escape to Your rest, soothing me with Your calmness’ ecstasy As You pardon me of my confessed slothfulness and complacency. Lord God, You are my holiness-Upholder Who sees me in my heart’s integrity Thank You for forgiving my sins I admit with sincerity… I pray that You restore me always by Your cleansing purity As You guard me from the snares of being fearfully guilty. Lord God, You are my holiness-Upholder Who rescues me from wandering Thank You for reproving me when I hide my errors in my fleshly covering… I dwell in Your kindness, warming me with Your nurturing As You enclose me around Your truths for my faith’s securing. Lord God, You are my holiness-Upholder Who warns me of proud confidence Thank You for hearkening to my call for direction in my service-cadence… I cling and cleave to You, casting away my stubborn independence As You lift me up to trust Your sovereign providence. Lord God, You are my holiness-Upholder Who holds me in Your hand Thank You for dealing well with me by Your meaningful command… I seek Your generous satisfaction upon where I stand As You bless me with Your covenant’s demand.
