Poem
Today you were born so many years ago, hell opened wide and spit out your soul You rose from the ashes, from the brimstone far below, and you gave birth to a monster that had no soul Surely there were no angels singing about your birth, only demons cheering on the acts you would partake in, what you would eventually consider your work And the sick part is that you were so proud, masquerading around your so-called egotistical power in front of the crowd The dark crowd, the crowd that no one speaks of in the light, because within this darkness there lies so many secret encounters that manifest in the night The whips, the chains, the masks, the smell of leather and sex in the air, you truly come alive, and you beg for someone to disobey you, for someone that you can scare Isn’t that what you want to punish others, to feel alive? To give the pain you’re in, to someone else so you can hide your true feelings inside Where there lies a heart of a man that once had it all, true love that most people dream of finding but in your world, it was just too hard You wanted to have your sadistic cake and eat it too, but my love, my punisher, that is just something to me you couldn’t do You didn’t want to taint me, you never wanted me to see this side, you would only show me Mr. Jekyll never Mr. Hyde Little did you know though that I would have accepted him too, because when you truly love someone there is nothing you won’t do You told me I was too sweet, too pure, that I could never have a taste, that I needed to stay within the light, darkness was to me never penetrate This sadistic man he was born or spit out of the labyrinths of hell, and was told to ruin others but his secret to never tell The secret that he was once a human almost angelic in a state of sweet reverie, where he dreamed of loving another that could never be Because she made him feel, because he fell in love and couldn’t keep what he had, he died within the heartbreak and transitioned into a demon instead of a man He renamed himself where he came from down below, “Hell” and it is fitting for a man that now has no soul But today my fallen lover is your day, the day of your true birth, and I’m not sure whether to smile or frown? Be happy or feel hurt? Because the man that was born so long ago on this day, is also the man that destroyed my lover and took him to hell to play To teach him not to feel, to hate with everything inside, because love is a wasted emotion that blows away in time So, my tortured lover that once was I pray for you, because now you’re in the arms of the demons and there is nothing that I can do.
