Poem
Hello, Lord. How are you today? As believers, we tend to spend so much of our time with you, dealing with matters concerning ourselves. I know that that is okay with you, but I also know that you have feelings too and often like human parents, simply want to JUST BE with us. I have learned to appreciate the fact that since you revealed yourself through Christ, I have little problem making connection with you. I say 'little problem' because there are times that it seems you 'are not there' or you are 'nowhere to be found', and I want to yell, "Where are you Lord?". But even in that, I am learning that there is no disconnection on your part, but rather it is due to my being distracted by other things or that I simply don't always hunger and thirst for you as I should. As humans, I and others are prone to be 'worldly', selfish, unloving, unkind, and lustful after numerous things of this world. Deep in my heart I know that you are very assessable, very open, and not given to changing who you are to us. I don't expect to see you with my natural eyes. In fact, I have no desire to see you until you give me my heavenly body. I have read that we cannot see you and live. I can hear you, though not audibly, but in my heart and mind. I also hear you speaking to me by way of dreams and personal circumstances. I hear and listen to you mostly by way of your word the Bible, which is the number one way that you have chosen to speak to me. Lord, I'm no different than many other believers who when sometimes faced with and encounter very difficult situations, are occasionally compelled to ask or even shout, "Lord, where are you?" "Why don't you answer me?" In my heart I am convinced that you know best for me in matters of 'space and time'. But still, when things go south, we are easily blinded of intimacy and closeness with you. We become afraid, and our confidence is weakened. So, Lord I pray that in such times that I do not feel and sense your presence, remind me that you never leave or forsake me. Thanks for listening Lord, and have a good day. Your child. Amen. 082022PSCtest, Where Is God Hiding. Unseeking Seeker
