Poem
There are days when I don’t feel Like listening to God’s will There are days when I don’t know What it is to truly hope There are days when I just can’t say Prayers that leave me feeling blessed As if the Lord has poured out His love Rained down His joy, His light, His glory Onto my soul, into my spirit, revealing The wisdom of listening, hearing All of the love that He is giving Love like this is love that is fulfilling There are days when I don’t understand What it is to live in God’s plan There are days when I don’t imagine I’ll ever make it to the promised land There are days when I just can’t say What I feel in my heart, the best part Of being a child of the King, a child Who is living to give back to Him There are days when I don’t appreciate The blessings He gives me, the kindness The endless feelings of a grace That fill my heart with complete faith There are days when I wish I could say I know where I’m going with this life I know what it means to conquer strife I know all about this eternal grace But. I am merely a simple woman With only my bible and my hope My belief in the One who came to earth To die on a tree knowing I’d believe He came back to life, resurrected A risen Savior who I can always know Will light up the darkness with His love Answer my prayers with His resolutions Fulfill my heart’s needs with His promises Yes, there are days when I can’t answer I don’t know the when, the why or the where I don’t know how or who.. I only know, for sure, That Jesus is the answer to every problem He provides the comfort through the storms And leaves me feeling certain that I am loved There are days when I just can’t pray But there are endless ways I can say He holds the key to my heart and soul Without Him, I wouldn’t be whole I’m so very thankful He is the anchor I will always hold onto Him and know He will make a way where no way was before He will light the darkest dread with faith And He will silence every thought of doubt I love Him more today than I ever have
