March 9 Scripture Meditations Based on 2Samuel 19-21

Key Verse – 2Samuel 19:33 And the king said unto Barzillai, Come thou over with me, and I will feed thee with me in Jerusalem.

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR FEEDING ME

Thank You for feeding me beyond my physical maintenance
Always providing for my sustenance
Even though I lack riches’ finance---
Now, I’m satisfied by Your sufficiency, showing my serene countenance.

Thank You for feeding me beyond my material neediness
Always clothing my spirituality with Your graciousness
Even though I fail in my sinfulness---
Now, I’m blessed by Your forgiveness for my repentant humbleness.

Thank You for feeding me beyond my vain craving
Always filling my soul with Your bounty I’m receiving
Even though I murmur in my displeasing raving---
Now, I’m grateful for what You are perfectly giving.

Thank You for feeding me beyond my worldly achievement
Always directing my heart toward heavenly accomplishment
Even though I miss worshipping You along foolish entertainment---
Now, I’m revived to pursue holy attainment’s contentment.

Thank You for feeding me beyond my fleshly aim
Always correcting my desire of ephemeral fame
Even though I struggle to win over humanistic game---
Now, I’m determined that for Your glory I’ll magnify Your name.

Thank You for feeding me beyond my stubborn carnality
Always helping my will to follow Your authority
Even though I hide because of iniquity’s infirmity---
Now, I’m inspired to live for You with my best ability.
