February 16 Scripture Meditations Based on Joshua 16-20 Key Verse – Joshua 17:4 …The LORD commanded Moses to give us an inheritance among our brethren. Therefore according to the commandment of the LORD he gave them an inheritance among the brethren of their father. MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR GIVING ME AN INHERITANCE Thank You for giving me an inheritance that’s eternal So blessed am I to possess it, despite my being fleshly and carnal Let me value such more than the ephemeral Since You are my Provider... ...supremely sovereign, authoritatively supernal. Thank You for giving me an inheritance that’s priceless So privileged am I to own it, despite my being worthless Let me cherish such to subdue vanity, really useless Since You are my Benefactor... ...absolutely generous with gifts always measureless. Thank You for giving me an inheritance that’s perfect So awed am I to have it, despite my being imperfect Let me keep such which is in the center of Your will whenever I select Since You are my Source... ...constantly wise in molding my godly intellect. Thank You for giving me an inheritance that’s best So honoured am I to receive it, despite my being the smallest Let me treasure such while staying in Your plan, the greatest Since You are my All... ...victoriously triumphant over the finest. Thank You for giving me an inheritance that’s useful So humbled am I to accept it, despite my being unfaithful Let me prosper through such and strive to be fruitful Since You are my Maker... ...excellently effective in building me to be skillful. Thank You for giving me an inheritance that’s precious So joyful am I to handle it, despite my being anxious Let me invest for it as I stay diligent by Your prodding, constantly gracious Since You are my Supplier... ...unceasingly bountiful for harvest, verily plenteous.
