Poem
The beauty of the night and the sorrow that’s weeps across my face, Secret desires wiles and sleep in the softness of morning. But when my heart creeps to see the night when all my pain once again calls to me, Dear Husband the heart is a dreadful lightning that breaks sleep and cunning joy? Youthful smiles beguile peace for earth and heaven is in your eyes. I was angry with myself which I am my own foe, I was angry with wrath to my own deceitfulness, for I in fear smiles softly against day and night. And beheld its shine to bear my own, Here am I o’ husband in a garden which is outstretched with my foes. Have the father of us all wept for me in this dangerous world I am left in naked? I once knew night’s delights with the holy priest that pronounced my curse so fruitfully. That priest that beheld day now underneath the night is a serpent! His unholy hands now struggling against this mother breast, for rage I saw nothing gain. Tricks I saw sulk in our father hands. O’ hear me, why should I be lovely – love do not grow here. Why should I be left to weep, and for what strong reason do you not call my name? Has all the love in you for me has died? If so than allow me also to die, so that I shall not exist any more? Husband there its is, for here its come, the night. A sad mouth of teeth smiles to greet me. I have born you long enough o’ night! I shall not bear you ever again! I fall from the turn coming my way? On my knees for the horror I see, husband where are you? Your wife is calling! Husband I know not where my heart is? I am crawling to a safe place but everywhere is this darkness, EVERYWHERE! Where is my heart I do not feel its? Where is my camp I do not see it? Where is this love our father promises us forever? Now here I lay in this mud and sand – my mind is not my own, how can this be? I am the queen, I AM THE QUEEN! Now I can breathe for here come the morning again.
