Pride negatory
Better to share His glory
God writes your story

Special kind of gain
We can only learn through pain
God may not explain

Treasure has a source
Wisdom is treasure, of course
God stores His resource

When God sends trouble
And we climb out the rubble
Job got a double

Lies are on the rise
Look at all the hostile eyes
Folly in disguise

He regrets his birth
He can't understand his worth
Scripture will unearth

A faith confession
Eternal life impression
Better possession

When your heart is torn
When your spirit is forlorn
When choked by the thorn

Let faith have its way
Let Him put grace on display
Let thorns fall away

Man pursues success
Until pride leads to duress
Then pleads for His bless

The rulers rebel
The peoples' uproar to quell
They guile to compel

The elitist spins
Hiding expedient sins
Human folly wins

Check your pride or fail
Morality will derail
Satan will prevail

A warrior born
His fear of battle to shorn
His faith to adorn

Godly seed or line
New birth joins you by Design
There is a deadline

The Babel system
Is designed to resist Him
Not to assist Him

Those who fall away
Can lead you further astray 
Give them no leeway

He will graft them in
Much to the Devil's chagrin
Israel serves again

He gives strength to you
He can drain it away, too
So, you remain true

See the Erudite
Clever, not wise, in His sight
They crave the limelight

His Scripture indicts
Caught in the Spirit's searchlights
Sin receives stoplights

Why run the stoplight?
The dead-end is out of sight
So, I am all right

The future preset
Promised Redeemer paid debt
Death's sting is no threat

When He breaks the seal
Awesome judgments to reveal
POWER IS SURREAL

The Hill of Foreskins
Once their submission begins
Now chalking up wins

God plans to bless us
Satan conspires to harm us
That's why all the fuss

Knock, knock - "Who is there?"
"Jesus, will you become My heir?"
"Hide the silverware."

"How do I tell you,
When words simply will not do?"
Faithfulness gets through

Reason for defeat
Look not at God for retreat
You're on the hot seat

Faith hesitating
God's honor moderating
Progress deflating

Act on His desire
He walks with you in the fire
He thwarts 'Nezzar's pyre

Deception in war
Lies He wants us to deplore
Does His curse call for?

Football's secret sauce
Each play a win or a loss
Hostile lines to cross

Problem and prayer
Climbing the steps of His stair
Jacob wrestled there
