Poem
In a dark world where light rarely resides, you can find the one that they call Hell masked in his disguise There he sits on his throne, and he waits for the torture he is to bring, they come to him crawling down upon their knees They are not to look upon his face or say anything at all, they are only sexual slaves you see, not worthy of speech at all They are only to obey his commands and nothing more, like dogs they lie at his feet until he yearns for more Once the darkness settles in and the hunger becomes too much, that is when he will rise from his throne and administer his deadly touch Some say it doesn’t hurt, that they enjoy the pain, others they scream out in pleasure but in his world they’re one and the same He is the master here and he makes the rules, there will be no negotiating, he is to do whatever he deems to do And all that they can do is kneel there and wait for his commands, it is so demeaning to them, but no one is willing to take a stand To strike back means punishment, but not in the playful way, no he is a sadistic man with an eclectic taste I should know, I loved him once, very long ago, although then he didn’t go by the name Hell, I guess now it’s all for show No, the man that I knew, he never would bring a woman to her knees, not in the demeaning way that he does now, back then it would only be because he was sweet It’s hard to compare the two, the man that he is in the dark to the one that I have seen in the light, the one that is a punisher of pain and the one that danced with me that night I never saw this man, this Hell that is on display, I look into his tortured eyes and there I see a change The breaking of a man that once had a heart so true, a man that somehow lost his way after all that he had been through A man that cried to me, that now he only causes tears to fall, it’s almost as though I never knew him, not really at all Or maybe I did see the real, true version of him, but after me he ceased to exist and now it has come to this A man named Hell, living in a hell that he created in his own mind, where once there was nothing but beautiful thoughts from a long-ago time What broke this man named Hell? What came to be? How do you go from the love of my life to someone that can do these terrible things? And the sad part is I watch you as you work and play, and something inside of me burns within to almost feel that way Maybe because it’s you and I know that you would never truly hurt me, but I’m not prepared to go to the pits of Hell just so that I can see You’ve broken me enough, my heart and my spirit too, I am not about to hand over the last of me, my body, to someone like you Just so that you can punish me, to make your sadness go away, I won’t let you bring me down just so that you can feel okay I have let you have power over me for long enough, and it’s time for me to have my turn to feel that undeniable rush So go on Hell, reign over your kingdom and pit of sin, I won’t be one of your sexual slaves willing to let you have a turn at me again.
