"I truly feel that it is only when humanity can genuinely show love and respect, by nurturing and protecting the environment and all forms of terrestrial life on this planet, may Homo sapiens then aptly deserve to proclaim Earth as their ancestral home" ? A Fragile Planet The spiders cast off webs ensnaring bodies unaware of danger Dragonfly carelessly floats like fibers which will asphyxiate her Falcons gorge on termites before departing on an epic journey An impala jolts to escape capture by a cheetah tearing its way Praying mantis mindfully blend with branches deceiving a prey Serpent envenomation on lazy bullfrogs trigger rapid mortality Army ants scaling colossal trees overthrow vulnerable colonies Finishing the vanquished deterring insufferable lasting agonies Walking seventy long miles arctic penguins foresee destination Filled with fish to sustain offspring desiring undivided attention Wolves trail a target endangering lives for one nourishing meal Entrapping the grizzly until exhaustion became its Achilles heel Crocodiles like dead logs dive beneath mud-stained river water Silently shadowing misjudging wildebeests to be subdued later Cricket the vociferous diva of night enflames predatory senses A chameleon timing the perfect moment primes then trounces Aging matriarch guide the herd to a copse for breakfast leaves Orphans condemn the obliteration of elephant by ivory thieves The cycle of life inside forests revolves like a perpetual cyclone Whirling promptly as it accumulates power asserting its throne Apes shudder when humans appear browbeating and indignant Hiding behind leaves begging the intruders to be more tolerant Casualties of brutality animals are victims that grieve the most Amid darkness decency views humanity as an abominable host Critical matters summon changes fending off hunger and strife On a rooftop in a metropolis bees toil yielding the nectar of life Skyscrapers adopt hawks with nests for freshly hatched babies Mending the spirit of a fragile planet ravaged in heartless ways Penned: 07/24/ 2017 2:00a.m. Aboard cruise liner: Vision of the Seas, Cabin 2831
