Poem
A slice of the milky moon Sits silent on a clear, calm night So quiet it feels almost colorless A rising breath of shadows on faith Filling the dusky hush with inspiration Grace that lifts souls to new heights Replaces darkness with reassurance And ignites the fires of dancing promises Breaking through the nocturnal wars Of melancholy and dread, furious black! Stars shimmer, lighting up the sky With a moving touch from the soundless Rush of stardust and whispering giggles Bound up in laughter so alive, so thrilling Echoing through the ebony waves, intimately Foretelling of the hope that brings awake Seas of cool, clear waters – second chances To listen to the heart and follow its behaviors With a kiss to the wind, blowing across hills Wishing on the stars, insights so alive Night breaks through the thoughts In dreams that color thoughts in hues Of passion and purity, penetrating peace Glowing through the solar system’s edge Lasting longer than the few hours of blackness Growing fiery and fated to find truths Beyond the sensations of a new dawn Lighting up the sky with a brilliant sun Who knows that this night has not won We still feel the flow of ancient dreams Laughing beyond the limits of the lunar Reveries who blast through imaginations With wistful wishes and wonders – falling Across spirits – breathing sensations Of life across the shadows of night Blowing beauty across the heavenly scene Inspiration through those who believe Darkness balances the light of day And caresses the soul with a respite A relief from the daily exertion and efforts A place where mindlessness can ease pains A slice of silvery moon lights the night With a breather from days so exciting A brilliance to color us in hues of gentle Caressing the mind with thoughts so tender Awakening hearts and souls to renewed hope Bound up in threads of sincerity and love!
