Poem
It is said that a failure to plan is a plan to fail. And I agree that failure should not be an option. Jesus told the Roman Governor that he came to bring truth to the world. The Roman Governor Pilate responded by asking Jesus, "What is truth?". In a movie, one actor made demands on another actor when he said, "I want the truth!". With highly charged emotions, the other actor then replied, "You can't handle the truth!" Can we handle what is demanded? That is the question; and if we cannot, 'We thereby fail the truth'. Peter was not an evil person, but under pressure, he failed the truth. Judas failed the truth, but he also allowed his failure to bury him. In weakness, Peter failed the truth, but arose from his grave of shame and buried his failure. We all fall down sometimes, but too few of us get up. We all spill the milk sometimes, but too few of us wipe it up and pour another cup. Am I void of conscience? Do I have the capacity to lie under oath or in a vow? An evil intent is not the same as a capacity for failure which we all have. The Oath: "Do you solemnly swear to tell the truth and nothing but the truth so help you God". The Vow: "Do you take this person to be your lawful wedded spouse until but death do you part?" I may choose to publicly oppose what I secretly know to be the truth. I may choose to be indifferent by not caring or having no regard for the truth. I may intentionally and with malice, willfully mute the truth by denying or by lying . 062721PSCtest, Once More I Failed The Truth, Kai Michael Neumann
