Black life matters What error did the black man commit Peace and prosperity is all he seeks But the entire world does not understand this We are treated like beings of a lesser God even in our own continent Yes it’s us the people in the dark continent But why pity us for been dark and living in the dark continent We pride ourselves with the open opportunities that have been given to us We own gold and do not need a building to store for it’s spread across Our fields are heavenly Blessed with abundance of food Who told the rest of the world we need aid to survive ? Yes let’s trade with the world Yes we welcome the world to Africa Yes we may be less advanced in technology But we do not demand respect from anyone for we know who we are Yes we have issues but our issues do not need any outsiders to solve them Yes we know majority of our leaders are worthless but we made the choice Yes we know we sometimes lack enough to feed our neighbours but do not ridicule our problems. If you can’t help us then stay away from us Despise us because of our skin colour but realise we are the ones with actual gold reserves Despise us we are living in 3rd world economies but realise that here we say no hurry in Africa Despise us for family ties for your people preach divorce and separation Despise us for traditional beliefs but know we survived on them before you came uninvited We are Africans and been African is our business We didn’t volunteer to settle in the US, it’s you who forcibly forced us to become your slaves We didn’t ask for anything free but you brought your ideas to us Yes we are sorry we have prospered by God’s mercy alone If you see a black man they hold a tale no author can write If you see a black man he’s a blessing from God If you see a black man salute him for he had endured much and still stands firm View us with the eyes of peace and live but do not engage us in violence for we are peace
