Where magic thrives in peace, Yet no human ever beholds Of witches, wizards, wands, it is, A miraculous story that unfolds. He who mustn't be named, Power above all who desired His own life, instead he claimed, When his curse backfired. However lived the little one, Whose death was dearly sought Life of misery as an orphan, In Dursleys' house who got. 'Harry Potter' was his name, Forehead sported a lightning scar Ignorant was he, of his fame, Well known to wizards afar. With serpents, wondered the kid, How could he speak with ease Until one day came Hagrid, The keeper of the keys. Handing him a letter sealed, Hogwarts school crest it bore Harry's a wizard, he revealed, Truth of his scar & more. Then at Diagon Alley, they bought, Supplies from store to store Hedwig, a pet owl he got, & wand of a phoenix core. From Platform nine three quarters, With friend Ron by his side As nervous as fellow first years, At Hogwarts, Harry arrived. Sorting hat then grouped them in, Houses named after founders four The Ravenclaw, the Slytherin, The Hufflepuff & the Gryffindor. As youngest seeker of Quidditch, Harry Potter rose to fame Swiftly swallowed shining snitch, Despite the bewitched game. Harry, Hermione and Ron, became best friends over time Slew of adventures they set out on, Together partners in crime. In year one, the trio on their own, Thwarted Quirrell's attempt again Who sought 'The Philosopher's Stone', To end his master's pain. Entering 'Chamber of Secrets' in year two, Harry stabbed diary of Dark Lord With Fawkes flying to his rescue, He killed basilisk with a sword. Next year the trio helped Sirius, The innocent 'Prisoner of Azkaban' Escape using timeturner so mysterious, When Dementors' manhunt began. Then surprisingly Harry's name, The 'Goblet of Fire' chose From flesh, blood, bone on flame, In year four, Voldemort arose. 'Order of Phoenix' with Dumbledore, Rushed to rescue in year five But lost prophecy kept in store, Yet again, Riddle escaped alive! It was the prophecy that led, To claiming of several lives Neither of the two could live, it said, While the other survives. Year six then brought to fore, Secrets hidden ever since Discovered Harry & Dumbledore, Horcruxes & 'Half-blood Prince'. To bring You-Know-Who's downfall, Horcruxes were the key One by one, to destroy them all, In year seven, set off the three. As the saga drew to its close, Battled it out foes and friend Eluded by 'Deathly hallows', Voldemort finally met his end!
