people and things are so disappointing
people have stings,things get disheartening

selfishness of ones own feelings "begotten"
true love ways are soon "forgotten"

friends are mean't to love and share
but it doesn't mean my lover "how dare"

between lovers intimate words are spoken
careless whispers and hearts are broken

lust and envy, together provoke
to turn my marriage into a joke

the way you laughed and made me "smile"
was it for my lover all the "while"

was my loyalty, for your own end?
some pay-back, some bloody friend!!!

it's amazing just,how people and things
break your heart,and boy it stings

it's not something that can be brought
its something thats felt and seldom taught

the words you spoke were so sincere
now i wish i'd never had to hear

you say my man invited you to my home
and i'd hoped and prayed,he'd never roam

"he says" he never said those things!!!
but still it hurts,yet still it stings

didn't;t you know i was down enough!!!
i didn't need all this extra stuff

i was just starting to find my feet!
now my heart misses a beat

the funny thing is "he was so loving and bold"
but now he seems"so angry and cold"

it makes me"wonder"about this gossip and tettle
that maybe theres some truth, if only a little

he's always said theres "no smoke with out fire"
so maybe that night truly you were his desire

the saying lust and vice are the devils tool
it makes you wonder"out of us"who's the fool

since I've heard,I've reasoned and I've cried
each of you claiming,that the other has lied

i don't suppose i'll ever really know "the truth"
one thing i do know you were selfish and uncouth

and people and things are hurtful,a disappointment
people have stings and things get disheartened,but no enjoyment

just selfishness of ones own feelings "loom"
true love ways,theres no more room

so you had a flirt,you had your fun
a final ending,it seems has started,as begun!!!

why couldn't it be that way with you?
