Poem

Rondeau redouble, does give me trouble 
Amongst poetry forms, I am writing
On the surface, the rules appear simple
But to get the rhythm, has brain churning

The first quatrain, needs to be eye catching
Else, when repeated, poet will stumble
Must fit in too, for critics discerning
Rondeau redouble, does give me trouble 

First line refrain, is the last line bugle 
Thus, oft the poem title highlighting
The syllable count too, makes me fumble 
Amongst poetry forms, I am writing

Rondeau redouble, my brain cells killing
A format, I admit, inimical
Reason for my hair, rapidly balding
On the surface, the rules appear simple

I know that the task is not clerical
Fear of word repetition is haunting
Though rhyming word resource is quite ample
But to get the rhythm, has brain churning 

All this apart, I find it addicting
For the words come, as divine miracle
As right and left brain keeps oscillating
Signalling that mind body is feeble 
Rondeau redouble
