Poem

Doubts consumed me in the cold dark trench. 
I trembled to cringe in the ring of pain.
Every eerie flinch of my soul feels the pinch.
Tattoo moments drawing circles in the rain. 

Death carries away the memories for a while. 
We have lost again the friends we cannot hide.  
Tomorrow I will get up and put on a fake smile. 
With sleepy eyes and butterflies flapping inside. 

Heaven is now a vast distance between us.
A big and empty house filled with crushed feelings.
The shadowy figure of nostalgia gently brushes. 
With lukewarm cold and hot flush gremlins.

Every day I am taken by the cunning surprise. 
Promises, to crush void inside by my own pride. 
I am half price, reduce to wearing a smaller size.
Standing beside the taller ones with a longer stride.

Tear filled eyes, hoarse voice, and scarred thighs. 
As the chill winter voices cry unto the grey sky.
Stolen lies entrapped the late dipping butterflies.
Fireflies bathed themselves in my darkling agony. 

The light of hope leaves me with darker hues. 
Media piles on the existence with pointless clues.
Unfolding the latest news of all the battle bruises.
And I am left crush with more wounds and woes. 

Too ancient among the solution for a new start. 
Time gives another generation to reach further.
The ladder is getting thinner inside my heart.
But my destiny holds the reins a little firmer.
