Poem
I remember the little things like when you walked me down the aisle. You said ' It's not too late to run for it" I tried so hard not to smile. I remember leaving Goldie at the cabin as we went out fishing for the day and you having to haul her in because she swam to the boat anyway. Or when we went to Vegas. Passing the hotel where Elvis had his show. This was not too long after Elvis died. You said " I'd have got you in" , I said " I know". There's all these little memories that are running through my head, that any other time would make me smile but now make me cry instead. I know I should be thankful that you're no longer in pain. I hope you know how much I love you and that our loss is Heaven's gain.
