Fear not my poetic companions
As you traverse our treasured Soup.
And find utterances of blessed joy
From our small but plucky group.
Words to slake a tattered heart
And make better the dregs that oft occur.
Where your soul will sing and dance
When offered its vibrant written words.

If romance be the tale that stirs
Your spirit to soar among the clouds.
And you dream of a chance encounter
Where a mate stands out among the crowd.
With your eyes locked in frenzied purpose
As you both grasp with time and space.
Then the Soup is where you're sure to find
Such a poem to salt one's amorous taste.

When a Mother passes beyond the light
And grief makes dark the light of day.
Where hopelessness creates a tangled void
And despondency is sure to have its way.
A poem will provide a few measured words
To make ripe this bitter fruit.
Because no matter your slings and arrows...
You have friends within the Soup.
