Elmont was hungry 
He needed money 
Trying not to be bitter 
Hearing the bull sifting through the ticket litter 
Two bucks thrown away 
Nothing came through his way 
Headed home 
All alone 
Planning what to tell his bookie on the phone 
And there it appeared 
Saying he had nothing to fear 
Wiping a tear 
Suddenly, seeing a gigantic steer 
“He has a lot of raw meat 
When grilled at the proper heat 
Tangy and sweet” 
But how does Elmont take 
This beef cake 
From the grazing land
To the hamburger stand 
Elmont thought and sought 
How this entrée could be caught 
Go up to the main course on the lawn 
And say ‘you are not going to see the dawn’ 
‘I am in control 
Going to take you in on my patrol’ 
With a little light left 
Moos could even be heard by the deaf 
He found one wanting to be cooked 
Slaughtered and seasoned as stated in the good book 
“Moo” said the cow
Elmont answered him with a pow
A few hours later 
His loving partner was the waiter 
“You tipped the cow way too much 
And he didn’t like where you touched
I took spare ribs out of the freezer 
Enjoy them at your leisure” 
It took work 
To barbeque the pork 
An interesting selection 
No need for rejection 
Even though Elmont did not get a steak dinner 
His wife tonight was the true winner
