Fellowship Homes is a place I call home For the time being it is where I roam. When you arrive a Garden of Eden meets the eye , With lush, beautiful flowers and exotic plants that reach up to the sky. Many bloom year round even in the dead of winter, It is a world of beauty for all those who enter. There are two resident cats that roam the flowers, They wander amongst the plants, and there are rumors of magical growing powers. The staff is caring and kind, And makes you forget that you are confined. The nurses and CNA’s will take you under their wing. And before you know it, they will treat you like a queen. The nurses will daily update your chart In the meantime getting you to laugh instead of coming apart. The nurses stay cheerfully doing their work, Making others smile when they observe their handiwork. There is a little chapel in the building that is lovely beyond compare. Where the residents go for peace, comfort, and prayer. Services there for the residents are twice a week. Where the residents “Get their Jesus on” so to speak. I am thankful for this Christian based facility With the beautiful grounds and tranquility. I can get the care and Christian values in my healthcare., Which in this day and age is quite rare. The meals are lovingly prepared daily with lots of good things to eat, Most of the time the cuisine just can’t be beat. Fellowship Homes has a small working farm, with cows, chickens, goats and horses- just a stone’s throw across the road. When Small kids see the animals, they grin from ear to ear-thinking they hit the mother lode. There is a large pond on down the way, Where the residents can go fishing for a little play. When I think of Fellowship Homes, so many positive images come to mind. I will always cherish the experiences and the people when our lives became Intertwined.
