Poem
By this time I was so used to falling asleep in the worlds most uncomfortable chairs that could be found on any floor of the hospital I was at with my mom With my eyes closed I could hear a little girl singing in the hallway her words were it’s time it’s time it’s time And yes it was the Holy Spirit was upon my heart it was time to get saved the doctors had told me my mother didn’t have much time left in the Holy Spirit said it’s time Looking at my cell phone I had one bar left and it needed to be charged, I called a good friend of mine his name is Demetrius, Demetrious was a minister In Las Vegas Nevada, when I called him he was driving through the desert that patch of land that connects California with Nevada when I told him I needed to get saved he pulled over while he was driving on the desert road and told me to recite the sinners prayer a prayer he would stay with me and then asked me to repeat it. 30 years prior to this moment I tried to get saved for the first time but I didn’t take and I’ll tell you why, Because the first time I came to Jesus in a spirit of fear not surrender, this time it was total surrender. When my friend talked me through the sinners prayer I felt weight lifted from my chest and my friend said to me right now there’s a big celebration going on in heaven because you have beven saved. But I wasn’t done yet my mother needed to be saved and here she was lying in bed not conscious machines helping her to breathe I talked into my mothers year and I whispered to her mom I need for your life and you to be written in the book of life mom please except Jesus Christ as your personal savior she did not open her eyes. The second day I tried one more time and rainy windy morning with the sky was filled with the darkest clouds every side of the sinners prayer in my mothers here shortly after that she opened her eyes I hold her in my arms and the sun pierced through the clouds that were filled with a storm she didn’t have to speak the words to me I knew that when she opened her eyes that was her way of telling me I’m sick too
