Poem
If I, your sister Jill, were Alice, and you, my brother Bill, were Rabbit, and if I asked you, "How long was forever", and you answered me with, "Sometimes just one second,* and if you, cousin Jonnie, said that you had a dream about a house with a thousand rooms, I for one would think that we three knew something, though not much, about a few things in the Bible which speaks much about eternity, and how mere seconds with God are not seconds that we could even remotely comprehend, and about many mansions or rooms in our Father's House, though far more than a thousand, being reserved for us, and I'd also say that we three were on to something big. You see, to speak of the words 'forever and second' in the same sentence would be rather inappropriate and tantamount to sarcasm, and a house with a thousand rooms would have to be heaven because it would not be a thing of reason in this our world so finite and so filled with people so separated and disconnected both by space and disinterest. 013120cjPoSpCtest, The Meld Of Muses, Craig Cornish. *As per contest rules, this poem is based on two muses melded into one: Muse #1 - Louis Carrol wrote - Alice, "How long is forever". Rabbit, "Sometimes just one second". Muse #2 - The house with a thousand rooms.
