I was flying down the highway, at a mighty rate of knots
The white posts flashing past me just a blur
Off home to my girl friend, for whom I had the hots
When out on to the road there came this cur

I made a swerve off to the right, just as he did the same
I made a quick adjustment, when he changed
He was ducking and a weaving, as if it was a game
I knew then that my future was arranged

The two wheels on the driver's side, were six inches in the air
Fighting with the wheel to get them down
A prayer flashed through my mind, get me out of here I swear
Promise I will go to Church next time in town

A tree I did not see coming, branches aimed right at the screen
I knew then that my life had reached its end
Thinking of the places, it would be better to have been
I knew that I would never take the bend

I felt no pain I looked around, knew Whoopi was somewhere
Hoping She would get me through the gate
I could look forward to a future, full of happiness, no care
I would never more have trouble on my plate

I knew things were not going well, when Whoopi did not come
In her place a smiling very young George Burns
He looked me in the eye and said, this is not your home
Some folks have to go back to take more turns

He was gone before I realised, I was there all alone
The clouds and pearly gates, it seemed were gone
In their place a handsome doctor, and nurses in white gowns
I had the strangest Déjà Vu, so bring it on

My memory was fading fast, the world seemed very new
My bum got smacked, I yelled out in surprise
I suppose I did the other things, that newborn babies do
Looks around at all the people, and then cries

They gave me to my mother, she held me oh so tight
Even gave my dark damp hair a little curl
But it was the next bit, where I really got a fright
Welcome to our happy family, baby girl
