Poem

She opened her eyes. "Where am I?”
A pair of gentle eyes were observing her
“You are in the hospital,” a voice said politely
Little did she recall the crash, that changed her life
And she learned to wait patiently. For days and nights!

She had lived through the bedside window, and she loved a tree.
Those leaves murmured in the wind and made a tapping sound while it rained 
She watched the tree lying from her bed.And she recited to the tree those long
Forgotten lines of a poem she loved,from her memory.And bedridden she prayed.
She was taking a long time to recover. Learned to console her through a serene nature. 

She had a phone call from her daughter last night; they talked and laughed.
And then the daughter asked, “May I recite a poem to you, mom?”
“Sure!” Mom was eagerly waiting to hear the poem she wrote.
And softly, she started,
The poem she wrote.

“Magnetic fascination
 Kin to emancipation
 A connection internal
 Stirs emotions supernal.
 And in love, we find God in nature
 And God loves us all, more than we love ourselves.”

“I love you, mom,” the conversation ended.
Mom was happy. Mom was longing to see her daughter. 
And in her mind, all she knew that God listened to her prayer.
At a moment when she loved a tree through her bedside window. 
As God loves us all, more than we love ourselves.
